Not a company, but impossible to omit: like NIST Boulder, CUbit belongs in any honest map of the ecosystem. The CUbit Quantum Initiative is the University of Colorado Boulder's umbrella for quantum science and technology: coordinating research across JILA and campus departments, brokering industry partnerships, and feeding the workforce pipeline that every company on this page recruits from.

CU Boulder's quantum pedigree (multiple Nobel laureates, the JILA partnership with NIST) is the root system of the Quantum Valley, and CUbit is the institutional interface to it, the front door for companies that want students, collaborations, or shared facilities, and a key player alongside Elevate Quantum in the state's Tech Hub strategy.

Why it matters to the Valley: clusters don't run on companies alone; CUbit is where the talent, the science, and the industry actually meet.
