Elevate Quantum
The coalition that secured the US Department of Commerce Quantum Tech Hub designation for the Colorado Front Range. The policy and coordination infrastructure behind the entire ecosystem.
Elevate Quantum was formed in 2022 as a coalition of Colorado quantum stakeholders seeking a federal Tech Hub designation under the CHIPS and Science Act. In 2023, the US Department of Commerce named the Colorado Front Range one of the first Tech Hub designees, specifically for quantum technology. In July 2024 the EDA awarded the coalition a $40.5M federal Phase 2 grant, which activated roughly $74M in state matching support and unlocked a pipeline of up to $900M in additional investment. The coalition now represents 130 member organizations across industry, academia, government, and workforce development. Its chair, Corban Tillemann-Dick, is also the CEO of Maybell Quantum, reflecting the deep overlap between the ecosystem's commercial and policy layers. Elevate Quantum functions as the coordination layer for the entire Colorado quantum ecosystem: convening stakeholders, advocating for federal investment, managing the Tech Hub implementation, and building the workforce pipeline through partnerships with CU Boulder and community colleges.
