Designated the Colorado Front Range a Quantum Tech Hub in 2023 and awarded the coalition a $40.5M federal Phase 2 grant in July 2024, activating ~$74M in state match and a pipeline of up to $900M.

Under the CHIPS and Science Act, the US Department of Commerce designated the Colorado Front Range as a Quantum Tech Hub in 2023, one of the first Tech Hub designations awarded nationally and specifically focused on quantum technology. In July 2024 the EDA followed with a $40.5M federal Phase 2 award, which activated roughly $74M in state matching support and unlocked a pipeline of up to $900M in additional investment.

The Tech Hub funding flows through the Elevate Quantum coalition, which now represents 130 member organizations across industry, academia, government, and workforce development. The federal investment has been central to the ecosystem's transition from research concentration to industrial cluster.
